DOES SIZE REALLY MATTER?
SMALL LUSITANOS with HUGE SOULS
The Lusitano breed has had a very positive evolution in the last 15 years regarding breeding horses that will be competitive on the international dressage scene - improved gaits, increased strength and a taller size are some of the variables which have been added to this breed's highlights. One of the features that has changed more dramatically is the height at withers: 20 years ago, a Lusitano with 1.60m was already considered big. Today we find many horses measuring over 1.65m or even higher!
Despite this tendency, we can still find some great prospects in smaller size, ideal for younger, smaller and lighter riders. Today we invite you to have a look at our smaller sized Lusitanos.
