Photo Weekend with Ekaterina Druz

Get ready for an immersive and intensive photography weekend, spanning from sunrise to sunset, offering abundant opportunities for capturing stunning images. We'll explore at least 4 different locations, each of them presenting multiple scenarios. All sessions will be meticulously organized and conducted under the expert guidance of Ekaterina Druz. The primary focus will be on photographing horses in freedom amidst various breathtaking backdrops.

License for Commercial use of Photos

The basic price of the photo-weekend doesn't include a commercial use license for photos. While you can use the photos for your own portfolio, you are not entitled to sell them. If selling the photos is your goal, you should subscribe to this supplement. It will provide you with all the necessary legal documentss - model and property releases - to avoid any restrictions on use.

EXPERIENCE & EQUIPMENT

The weekend is perfect for photographers of all levels who have an interest in equine photography. Whether you're using a DSLR, mirrorless, or bridge camera, it's essential that you're familiar with the camera settings. To make the most of the experience, we recommend having a 70-200mm lens for DSLRs or its equivalent for mirrorless cameras. For accurately capturing the beauty of horses, lenses with a focal length of 100mm or more are advised. Don't forget to bring extra batteries and memory cards to ensure you don't miss any of the action.

START & END OF PHOTO WEEKEND

The Photo Weekend is scheduled for October 12th and 13th, 2024. Our meeting point will be Sintra at 7:30 am, and the first photo session is set to begin between 8 and 8:30 am. The last photo-shoot is expected to conclude around 7:30 pm, after sunset. We anticipate returning to the same meeting point around 8:30 pm. An optional group dinner will be organized, and everyone is welcome to join, even if it is not included in the price or the program of the day!

03.

ONLINE INTRODUCTION MEETING

To ensure everyone is well-prepared for the upcoming Photo Weekend, we have organized an introduction online meeting. This session, scheduled in advance, will allow participants to get to know each other and receive a detailed briefing. The link and instructions for joining will be provided in a timely manner.

PAYMENT

To secure your spot for the Photo Weekend, a reservation fee of 500€ must be paid via bank transfer. The remaining balance will be due one week before the program begins. This payment confirms your enrollment for the day. The Lusitano World team will request your invoice details.

05.

LOCATION CHANGES

As we work with horses in an outdoor environment, it is possible that we may need to handle unexpected events. Therefore, the location of this photo weekend may be subject to change, always ensuring a replacement with similar experiences. Please note that no refunds will be given in the event of a location change.

06.

PHOTO WEEKEND CANCELLATION

Lusitano World reserves the right to cancel or postpone this Photo Weekend due to force majeure or if the minimum number of 6 participants cannot be reached 2 months before the starting date. In this event, the reservation fees will be fully refunded to each participant.

07.

INSURANCE & WAIVER OF LIABILITY

We strongly recommend that each participant purchase travel cancellation insurance for their flights and obtain travel medical health insurance. Participants will be required to sign a Release and Indemnity Form before the weekend starts. Be prepared for the unexpected and ensure your travel investment!

08.

PHOTO-RIGHTS

This weekend is dedicated to building your portfolio as an equine photographer! Consequently, all photos captured during this tour can be utilized for your portfolio, website, social media and private use. You can obtain all the necessary legal documents to secure the commercial rights of all photo sessions by subscribing to the 'License for Commercial Use of Photos' for an extra fee of 375€.
