Amateur-Friendly Piro-Free Lusitano with Grand Prix Potential

An exciting piro-free Lusitano with all the makings of a future Grand Prix horse, this young prospect is already impressing with his natural ability, advanced training and genuine enthusiasm for the work. At first glance, he has all the charm of a traditional, baroque Lusitano, yet under saddle, he reveals the athleticism and rideability of a modern dressage horse. Surprisingly comfortable to sit, he offers a lovely feeling to his rider, with a consistent, steady contact and the ability to perform all his exercises in a snaffle bridle. His respectful, uncomplicated nature and genuine willingness to please make him a particularly enjoyable horse to ride and train.

His training is already quite advanced for his age, with established lateral work and flying changes, and the first steps towards the series now underway. He also shows a particularly natural aptitude for piaffe, one of the highlights of his work so far. He learns quickly, approaches new exercises with ease and demonstrates a level of focus and maturity that makes his progression particularly enjoyable. Looking at him today, we feel there is still so much more to come: we see a very exciting Grand Prix horse in the making. As he becomes stronger and more established in the collected work, we expect him to gain further expression and continue progressing towards the higher levels of the sport.

With his comfortable rideability, solid training foundations and excellent attitude towards work, he is a horse that an ambitious amateur can genuinely enjoy riding today, while continuing to develop with the guidance of a trainer. Already capable of competing at Medium Level, we believe he could be ready for Prix St Georges within the next few months. He offers an exciting opportunity to enjoy the competition arena now, while building a partnership with a horse who has the potential to progress all the way to Grand Prix. To learn more about him and explore whether he could be the right match for you, contact our team at horses@lusitanoworld.com.
