The Best of Both Worlds: a Modern, Piro-Free Dressage Prospect

The athleticism, power and expressive movement of a Warmblood, combined with the exceptional temperament and natural talent for collection of the Lusitano? This piro-free LusoWarmblood brings together the best of both worlds! A modern dressage prospect offering an exciting combination of quality, rideability and genuine potential for the sport.

Bred by Dressage Plus, the renowned breeding programme behind the world-famous Zonik Plus, this young horse combines an elegant, modern sport horse silhouette with elastic movement, quality gaits and a natural aptitude for collected work. Under saddle, his temperament is undoubtedly one of his greatest assets. Naturally forward, responsive and willing, he approaches his work with a remarkably calm and cooperative attitude. Despite his young age, he shows impressive maturity, remaining focused, attentive and uncomplicated throughout his training sessions. He genuinely listens to his rider, understands what is being asked of him and already shows a natural ease in lateral movements and collected work.

His canter is a particular highlight, offering excellent balance, natural quality and athleticism. And there is plenty to be excited about in his trot too! Still a young horse with so much development ahead of him, he already displays some of the qualities that modern dressage riders value most. When asked for collection, he shows a remarkable natural ability to shift weight onto his hindquarters while maintaining impulsion and forward energy. This ability to carry weight behind, combined with his willingness to work, is a particularly promising indicator of his potential for the more demanding exercises of Grand Prix dressage. As he continues to gain strength and develop through correct training, there is every reason to be excited about what the future may bring.

What makes him especially appealing is how accessible his talent feels under saddle. He has the movement and athletic ability to interest an ambitious dressage rider, without being demanding or complicated to ride. This makes him an equally attractive choice for an amateur looking to develop a quality young horse with professional guidance, while keeping ambitious goals for the future. A young dressage prospect with all the right ingredients: athletic quality, a wonderful character and the natural ability to aim high. For someone who values the journey of developing a talented young horse just as much as the destination, he offers a particularly exciting opportunity. To learn more about his training, development and suitability for your goals, contact our team at horses@lusitanoworld.com.
