Q-Unico do Vouga

Young, talented and with plenty still to come, this Lusitano stallion is an exciting prospect for a rider looking for a horse to develop towards the higher levels of dressage. Already showing a natural understanding of the advanced work, he combines ability with one of the qualities that matters most in a young horse: the willingness to listen, learn and work with his rider.

His pedigree gives further substance to that potential. A son of Único, by Xaquiro, he carries established Lusitano bloodlines and is himself an approved breeding stallion, opening the possibility of combining a future sport career with a breeding programme. Standing 1.71 at withers, he has plenty of presence without ever appearing oversized. His body is remarkably proportional and harmonious, allowing him to carry his frame naturally and giving him an attractive balance between a modern, sportive appearance and the characteristics of the Lusitano breed.

Under saddle, there is already plenty to look forward to. He shows good natural ability for collection, an expressive extended trot and a promising understanding of the passage. His flying changes are still developing, but becoming more confident and established with every day of training, and he is now beginning to connect them into the sequence changes. What makes his progression particularly encouraging is his attitude towards the work. He has a quiet, willing personality and a genuine desire to please. Rather than anticipating the exercises, he waits for his rider, listens to the aids and tries to understand what is being asked of him. It is this combination of ability and trainability that makes his future particularly interesting.

At Lusitano World, we believe there is still a significant margin for progression. With the right rider and a consistent dressage programme, he has the physical ability, mindset and foundations to continue developing towards the advanced levels while allowing his next rider to be an active part of that journey. For someone searching for a young Lusitano stallion with quality bloodlines, a generous character and genuine potential for dressage, he is a horse worth following closely at the Rocas do Vouga Auction 2026.
