Revherendo do Vouga

At just six years old, Revherendo do Vouga is one of those young horses who makes you genuinely excited about what the future may hold. Born in 2020, he already shows clear performance potential, with the versatility and natural ability to develop successfully in both Dressage and Working Equitation. Yet perhaps the most exciting part of his profile is knowing that there is still so much more to come. His pedigree provides a strong foundation for that future. Revherendo is a son of the Olympic and 4* Recommended stallion Viheste AR, while on the dam’s side he carries the blood of Oceano, a renowned Veiga stallion. It is a pedigree that combines proven sport credentials with traditional Lusitano genetics.

Under saddle, Revherendo’s greatest quality may well be his attitude. He wants to work, he wants to understand and he consistently tries to give his rider his very best. He is attentive to the aids and approaches new exercises with willingness rather than resistance — exactly the kind of mindset that becomes increasingly valuable as the work becomes more demanding. Despite his young age, the foundations for the higher levels are already beginning to appear. The flying changes are there, he is starting to understand collection, and his natural balance gives plenty to build upon. At this stage, these are glimpses rather than a finished picture, but they offer an exciting indication of where his training could go.

Revherendo is still developing, both physically and in his education, and he will benefit from the support of a professional trainer to continue consolidating his foundations and introducing the more advanced work correctly. For the right rider, this is precisely where the opportunity lies: there is enough established to understand his ability, while still having the possibility to play an important role in the horse he will ultimately become. We believe Revherendo is the kind of horse who will shine and thrive under the right rider. With time, correct training and a partnership that allows his confidence and ability to grow, he has the potential to progress through the dressage levels and eventually become a very enjoyable and accomplished schoolmaster.

For an ambitious rider searching for a young Lusitano with talent, trainability and a genuine desire to work, Revherendo do Vouga is an exciting prospect to discover at the Rocas do Vouga Auction 2026. If you would like to talk personally about Revherendo, where he is in his training today and the type of rider we believe could bring out the best in him, the Lusitano World team is available at horses@lusitanoworld.com.
