Soprano do Vouga

There is something particularly rewarding about discovering a young horse at the beginning of his journey, and this promising Lusitano already gives plenty of reasons to be excited about what lies ahead. Athletic, intelligent and naturally willing to work, he has the foundations to develop into a very interesting sport horse with time and correct training. His pedigree provides a strong background. He descends from the 5* Merit Stallion Hostil on his sire’s side, while his maternal grandsire is D’Accord do Mito, a 4* Recommended Lusitano stallion. These established bloodlines complement the qualities he is already beginning to demonstrate under saddle.

Born in 2021, he has a modern, athletic way of going and naturally presents himself in a lovely frame. The canter is a particular highlight, covering ground with ease and showing good natural balance. As he continues to mature and develop strength, there is still plenty of room for his movement and overall performance to evolve. His mindset is equally encouraging. He is willing, sensible and receptive to the rider, with a positive attitude towards learning. His basic education is already in place, while his young age leaves his future rider and trainer plenty of opportunity to shape his development according to their own goals.

We see him as an especially interesting prospect for an ambitious amateur working alongside a professional trainer. He has the quality to make the project exciting, but also the character and trainability to make the process enjoyable. His current stage of training also brings an additional advantage. He enters the Rocas do Vouga Auction 2026 at an attractive price point, with the flexibility to remain in Brazil for further professional training or to be exported directly to his new home. With another year of consistent development, he could be at a considerably more advanced stage in his education, making him an interesting long-term project from both a sporting and investment perspective.

Above all, this is a horse whose best qualities are still developing — and an opportunity for his next rider to be part of that progression from an early stage. To learn more about him, his current training or the possibilities following the auction, you can speak directly with the Lusitano World team at horses@lusitanoworld.com.
