Teodoro do Vouga

Impossible to look away! With his striking golden buckskin coat, expressive presence and beautiful Lusitano type, this young piro free stallion is certainly one of those horses who never go unnoticed. Bred by Rocas do Vouga, he combines eye-catching looks with a lovely personality and interesting possibilities for the future, both under saddle and potentially as a breeding stallion. His pedigree is very appealing. A son of Oriente Mito do Vouga, a 4* Recommended Lusitano stallion, and a grandson of the renowned Riopele, he carries established bloodlines that complement his traditional Lusitano appearance. For breeders looking to introduce colour into their breeding programme while remaining selective about type and genetics, he could be a particularly interesting prospect.

Curious, confident and full of expression, he has a personality that is every bit as charming as his looks. He approaches new experiences with interest and a positive attitude, making him enjoyable to handle and work with. His education under saddle has only recently begun, but he is already proving to be cooperative, straightforward and willing to learn. The basic foundations are in place, leaving his future rider plenty of room to develop his strength, balance and understanding as his training progresses.

For an amateur who dreams of bringing along a young Lusitano, he could be a particularly rewarding project with the support of an experienced trainer. His lovely disposition provides an encouraging foundation for him to become an amateur-friendly partner as his education progresses and he gains more experience. He is equally interesting for professional riders and producers looking to invest in a promising young horse to develop. And his potential extends beyond the riding arena. With his distinctive golden colouring, attractive conformation and noteworthy pedigree, he also deserves consideration as a future breeding stallion, particularly for breeders looking to introduce colour into their programme without compromising on Lusitano type and genetics.

Offered at the Rocas do Vouga Auction 2026, this golden young Lusitano presents an opportunity for someone who appreciates a horse with character, presence and the freedom to shape his future. Could you picture this golden Lusitano in your stable?
